I have an Triton T90si, i just recently purhcased it and its been installed for 1 and half months now. The other day i noticed the water was getting very hot even on low temp settings. All of a sudden yesterday it has stopped working. Its still making its usual huming sound but no water is coming out. Anybody any ideas what is wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like a problem with the water supply or with the shower head. The temperature is regulated by the flow of water, and if the flow gets too low then the heater will switch off to avoid scalding. You need to check the filter inside the shower casing (if you don't know where it is, take a look at www.showerright.co.uk -- they have a good set of diagrams). The other possibility is either a partial blockage or airlock in the feed pipe or a collapsed rubber liner in the shower head flex pipe. Since it's the easiest test, try taking off the shower head pipe first and run the shower. If you get a good flow out of the pipe connection then it's the flexible that's the problem. If the filter inside the unit is OK then you could try connecting a hose to the filter casing and pushing water back up the feed pipe into the header tank to clear any blockage or airlock (but careful to keep water away from the electrics -- and isolate the power supply).

The one other possibility I can think of, although I have only ever come across it once, is where the power supply connections have come loose. That will make a buzzing noise and can have the effect of slowing the water supply because the solenoid valve never opens properly.

It could be the inlet filter if so, remove the outer casing of the shower unit, (switch shower or the mains power off first). On my T90 xr the filter is a white / clear plastic knob that should read "do not overtighten inlet". Twist this anti-clockwise and remove the fitting. Give it a rinse, and a then give quick push with your small finger inside where the filter was attached. When you do this water should come jutting out so be ready. Refit the filter, do not over tighten! Replace front cover, turn on power and shower should be fine.

Post is 6 years old. I'm guessing they've changed shower by now.

Guess away to heart's content, I commented because I might help someone else who has a similar problem and is searching online for a solution

I have a similar problem, so figured I may as well post here as post has become live again recently. No water coming out of shower but pump making noise when switched on. Inlet filter has been cleaned, bleed valve opened to clear out any air lock - but still no dice. Water is running fine to inlet valve.

I have removed the hose connecting to the shower head in case there was a blockage there but water still does not run.

Any ideas? I'm off to test the solenoid this evening to see if that could be the cause but would appreciate any other guesses as to the problem.

You need to replace the solenoid. It'll work fine once you do this.

Cheers, hopefully that will sort it.
