Ok I'm being brave my last thread hasnt turned out how I hoped, these pics were taken out of my comfort zone, I walked along Grafton street after a few drinks with my new 50mm 1.8 and took these first 2, the last is my comfort zone I guess being band shots and I'm sure there will be some criticism but I think it suits the guys.

What were your settings for the first shot? I was thinking that if you had used a smaller aperture value you could have gotten a lovely colour bokeh from the shop window behind the saxophone guy.

I like #3 the best, very good composition. Looks like an album cover

Lol at the 80's completely the idea, we were thinking kinda Skid Row. That was in the band area / storage space at the back of Eamonn Dorans, I walked in to congratulate the lads on a great gig and saw it so I asked them to get in, they thought I was a bit crazy at first but it worked.

The sax player prob has had his pic taken a million times. The apereture didnt register on the camera for some reason, a manual lens even the aperture is set manually, I think it was close to 2. He was quite close to the window

the further away you are from the object the wider the DOF becomes so judging by the distance given its a 50mm and the distance behind him, a decent Bokeh don't look too likely
