I was there on saturday and they were stocking the shop with new clothes ect but other than a rail of €10/15 off there was no signs of closing down there.

what's the story with this place? Are the shops individually owned or is it a franchisee. I remember seeing a sign in Nutgrove about a year ago saying that due to downturn in business that the shop was now closed.

Individually owned (as a franchise obviously)

The Grafton St one that used to be O'Connors shut down recently too.

Always was a crappy shop, I got given a gift voucher for it ages ago and never managed to find anything there at all just to use it up.

AFAIK, it's the same business, i.e. franchise is owned/managed by O'Connor family.
