    Has anyone any suggestions as to the best way to do the above every morning on bus = rail or whattever. Anyone doing this route by car and is so what is the best route in the morning avoiding the tunnell

    Bus Eireann to Busaras, then the 53A into the Port is the direct run. It has a infrequent service so it may not suit your timings, the 53 would be more frequent though it will leave you with a considerable walk. There is special buses to the Port though don't rely on them and they can be pricey.

    Driving, I'd stick with the N 3 through Phibsboro and the NCR and onto Seville Place and into the Port; it's a straight drive all the way though it's flow isn't good. As an alternative, hit the quays though they can be equally congested.
