    Hi

I am considering going to an aware support group meeting thingy, and was wondering if anyone had gone to one themselves? I've read what's on their website, but if anyone had any personal experience of what it was like i'd really appreciate it.

    thanks

I've been to a good few aware meetings. The language used can be a bit technical and the meetings are very structured. It will take you about 3 or 4 meetings to get used to the lingo but they can be good if you stick with it.

Sorry, got my wires crossed, i was talking about Recovery meetings. Still, might be worth looking into Recovery as well.

    Hi

Recovery is another support group ( I think ).
Aware meetings are totally confidental so I'm not sure what I can tell you about them ! .
if you have a look at their website it should give you a good idea.
basically its nothing to worry about though.
If you don't want to say anything at meetings you don't have to , you can come along and listen.
if fact new people are often encouraged just to listen for their first
    meetings.
