Seen it in the QFT a last week, excellent film, didn't know much about the group before going to see it, but I was with a few German friends who filled me in with the general situation before we went. Very good film, very interesting to see how the tactics of the future generations leaders manipulate people into following an idol they never knew as a means to gain power over them. Also an excellent film in its own right, solid acting, great pacing, and really well directed.

Anyone else seen this? Has finally come to Galway. Going to see it anyway but wouldn't mind hearing others' views on it just to push me along.

I caught it in the cinema here when it opened and I found it fairly disappointing. It tried to cover the whole BM movement and by the time we were watching the 3rd and 4th generation of fighters I was bored rigid.

That said some of the acting was superb, it looks great and the first hour and a bit is great. If they'd narrowed the focus and chopped an hour of the running time it would have been much better and Bruno Ganz is totally underused.
