    Can you still buy these new in Ireland? Does anyone know any shops that still have them?

    Nope. Went out of production at least a year ago. Check on play.com or ebay or something for a new/second hand one.

    If its for backwards compatibility, just keep/buy a ps2

    *EDIT*: And if your ps3 fupps up, you can at least play your ps2 :D

    Yeah. I don't really understand the clamber for the 60GB version. Just pick up a new ps3 and a 2nd hand ps2. You'd get one for €50 on adverts for example.

    But you'd be buying a PS3 that is over a year old and out of warranty.

    sony are improving the os all the time it'll get it eventualy as 360 is getting origional game sony may add full emulated support to the none bc ps3

    What I envisage could happen is some PS2 classics ending up on Playstation Store to buy for playing on PS3, a bit like some PS1 games there currently.
