well i don't show my emotions too much to people and its difficult for me to admit i think somethings up with me, i am fantastic at putting on the smiles and pretending life is great but inside i feel something ive never felt before. ive been down and always come back up but this time its different, Ive turned into a completely different person. I feel like i'm functioning in slow motion if that makes sense. I've lost a few friends as i don't go out anymore apart from college and work which are both a struggle to be honest. I just prefer to be alone because too much effort goes into being upbeat and normal. I don't even know why i feel so sad, just fed up with everything. i think depression is such an over used word and i dont think its that but i know just something isnt right and im actually too embarrassed to do anything about it because everyone gets low at some point. It just feels good to get it out.

Everyone is entitled to feel low at times. You shouldn't feel obliged to carry on with a happy facade- this will oly pressurize you further. If you're low and you're finding it all a struggle, first try to find someone who can listen- a friend, family member, OH, whoever. Get used to sharing- I'm sure you wouldn't feel burdened if they came to you. A shoulder and a good old moan can do you the world of good. Feeling sad is just as legitimite as feeling happy. You don't have to feel ashamed about sadness. You should embrace all of your emotions.
