Bodhrán - Three questions

    1. Where does one get a case for a 12" that actually fits? (Dublin area preferably)
(McCullough Pigott Music Shop had one, but it didn't fit. I've tried Waltons, and the one across the road from it as well without success.)

    2. Where can one get a bodhrán 're-covered'? (i.e. a service to put another cover on an 18". I'm sure it's probably just as cheap to get a new one, but ... stuff.)

    3. Can anyone recommend a DVD / book for a beginner? (A gift)

I'm still searching through this forum & Traditional, but not having much success.
    Thanks in advance.

Try Charles Byrne's on Lwr. Stephen St. (just off Georges st.)
It's a small music shop that specialises in traditional instruments.

    Cheers.
I tried, and failed to find it today. I now know it's no. 21-22; I'll try again another time.

As you turn onto Lwr Stephens St. from Georges st it's on your righthand side. The storefront is pretty dirty and looks "almost" derelict. It's still open though, just a really really old store.

you could get some tips pff youtube on how to play it off the rim of the bodhrán..
