Going Unregistered for this as I know people would recognise me from my username...

I was out on Friday night at a friends house party and got on really well with this girl we scored and where getting on great and then drama happened i don't really want to go into it as its not important (as it doesn't directly involve me) but at the end of the night the girl didn't even say bye to me. The reason for this is I was irritating, and I've been geting this alot from seperate people saying that I can be slightly irritating.

I basically want to know how to curb out, as i know thats the reason why she didn't want to talk to me at the end, I really like this girl ALOT and I know she did like me, she told me herself before any drink was consumed.I need your advice as I don't want anything like this to happen again, and its really geting me down.

We can't tell you how to stop being irritating when we don't know why you're irritating.

Ask the people who told you so why they think you're like this, then take the appropriate action.

in my experience, the most irritating people are the ones who cant shut up. are you prone to talking a bit too much, or being a bit clingy or anything like that?

In my experience it's the person that is constantly "are you ok, are you warm enough, do you want a blanket, here I will get you one, want a drink? No? I will get you one anyway..." Etc etc etc...

I know a guy that is like that, constantely pestering any woman that we are in company with. He has the misunderstanding that women need constant attention and cannot do anything themselves. Ignorant if you ask me... anyway, what are you doing that is irritating?

You cannot ask for advice and give minimum information, sure what have we to go on? Nothing... tell us more for crying out loud...

One thing that can be very annoying is over complementing. If you keep on giving a girl a million compliments it gets to a really annoying point once or twice is lovely and appreciated but more than that is very annoying.

    I agree with Estar.
You mention before drink was consumed so I'm thinking you get annoying after overconsumption on drink would I be right?
I went out with a guy years ago who didn't know when to stop and he got so flaming annoying by the end of the night that I just wanted to run away.
Sober good, few drinks fine over the 10pint limit ... not so fine.

If that's the issue keep the drink to a minimum. When your out with a girl youv'e just met it's the respectful thing to do anyway.

Hope it starts to get better:)

Well I actually never got drunk it was how i reacted to the drama that was going on at the time, I think thats what really p*ssed everyone off, to the other statements I actually never tried to be too nice and seem clingy

A lot of people think they're talking very rational perfect sense when they've had a few. Showing off how knowledgeable they are but actually coming across like an arrogant so-and-so. Did your friends say you can be irritating or irritating after a few drinks?
Or maybe you talk too much and the poor girl couldn't get a word in. Asking your friends to elaborate will help.

Do you ask them in what way you're irritating? I don't know how you expect us to tell you how to stop when we don't know what you're doing.

well you are being irritating now by asking for people's opinions but not giving any information for them to base their opinion on. they cant keep guessing differnt things that might make you irritating and have you answer yes or no. you need to tell them differnt scenarios you have been in where your friends have said you have acted irritating. nobody can help you otherwise.

Yeah to get any proper advice you need to explain what you did that was so irritating. You just keep knocking down random guesses by people. You say people have said it to you before so it's an ongoing behaviour. You recognised that it was your irritating behaviour that pissed off the girl - so you obviously know exactly what you do.

    So here's a bunch of guesses -
you really enjoy drama and watching it unfold?
    you're overly nosey?
    you're a stirrer?
you get upset at drama and run away from it?

Or maybe it's that you ask for advice and don't give any of the important details?!
