Ipoker Pause

I played in the 35k gtd rebuy last nite and ran very well until one mysterious hand played out, when i had kk on the button and a stack of 43k playing very tight , the villain raised from mp to 6k and i shoved when the action was on me , it was folded back to him and he insta calls with Ac8h , the board came Th8c2h turn 9h and then a ten second pause and the miracle 8 appears to bust me . Now i know it happpens all the time live and online and i am in no way saying that anything is fixed .
What i am asking is for some1 from Boyles or IPoker to explain as to why this pause happens and when it does happen it nearly always brings a miracle card for the idiot that shouldnt be in the hand in the 1st place.
I would prefer if some1 from the ipoker network would explain how there software works or any1 else that knows why this happens .
It has become increaseingly suspicious???

To be honest I think its probably just the rush of adrenaline making the delay seem unusually long. Much like in a road traffic accident, a couple of seconds can seem like minutes.
