    I am looking to clean up my messy network to help my ps3's connectivity. I have just assigned a static IP to my laptop and to the ps3 now and I have opened the ports on the main router(airport base station). Do I need to open ports on the bridge router which is in the same room as the ps3. I need it to use the connection from the downstairs router.

    Setup is as follows;

    IBB ****box > airport basestation > Airport express

    So basically do I need to open the ports on both routers as I have mapped them to the ps3 or my laptop specifically?
