Just reading some treads their on Freesat HD, picked one up over the weekend and was wondering whether I should go with a London Postcode on set up to benefit from all the HD channels.

    Cheers

Well if you put in a NI post code, you can still get ITV London on the lower end of the EPG (the 900 channels so I'm told) so if you would Prefer UTV and BBC NI up the top of your EPG, go for NI postcode, if not go for a different region.

Not sure that you HD issue is a problem any longer but there are advantages to using a non NI postcode on freesat.

By setting up on a mainland UK postcode you can avoid some of the regional NI programmes that they stick into the schedule on weeknights especially on BBC 1/ BBC 2/ UTV. These extra programmes can knock back the start time of other programmes by 30 mins or an hour. Match of the Day was on Wed night there a few weeks back and was starting almost an hour later on BBC NI compared with other BBC regions.

Handy to watch them earlier. Of course you achieve the same by scrolling down to the regional section of freesat menu or by adding an ITV region in the non freesat menu.
