    Hey Guys,

I hope you do not mind me posting this here, but I have started a new website (blog) about franchising, so I wanted to share it with you. It is only new but it has a good few articles and we will be adding more on a regular basis.

May be of interest to some people - if anyone has any feedback it would be much appreciated.

    Franchising Information Ireland

    Thanks

"The winners of the Irish Franchise Awards 2008 were announced at a black-tie ceremony presented in Dublin by the inimitable Marty Whelan. The awards, sponsored by Ulster Bank, recognise excellence in franchising and top honours went to The Streat, Home Instead Senior Care, Abrakebabra Investments, Pristine.ie, O’Brien’s Sandwich bars, and David Zebedee. Michael Bradley, former CEO of the Irish Franchise Association, received a special award for his outstanding contribution to Irish franchising."

    lol, just lol.

Fair play, that's a great blog, with a lot of work put into it.

To be honest the recession will sort out alot of the 'franchises' and 'one man and his van' stuff and sort out the wheat from the chaff.

I believe the UK banks are only considering funding for 40 of the 800 'franchises' in the UK marketplace.

These are the 40 that anyone interested in Franchising should be looking at.

O' Biren's have had poor working conditions for their employees but more importantly profits are falling quite heavily and I have come across an O' Brien's in Cork for sale. Their high prices probably a reason with people spending a lot less this year.

Still though they have branches worldwide-must have done something right...
