You're obviously not a Computer Science games student then.

We have the best lab in DIT in Kevin Street. Thankfully you need to be doing a robotics, graphics or Games to get in there.

I get where he's coming from.:o I spent the first week of college in aungier st. and then moved to Kevin St. It was a bit of a come down:( but now I wouldn't trade it! Well not I got a high price anyways! The labs in Kevin St are way better than the Labs I saw in other ITs... there's less signs on the machines saying out of service as I saw in LIT!:D
As for everyone being friendly, it's the truth. That's what impressed me the most on the open days and eventually led me to picking Dublin. It makes no difference what course you're doing you'll make friends with people from a lot of different courses!:P

Ye sure if you only open your eyes when your inside 305 lab, Kevin Street is a lovely place

The best thing about Kev street is the CHEAP breakfasts! Its only like 2 something for your sausis, rashers, eggs hasys...etc..deffo the cheapest around!

udrwise the stairs are a bitch especially when on the 4th floor(which u will b 4 sum lectures in comp science), they really need better lift facilities!

OP im sure youve seen these threads before but just to help you on your choice here they are again.
Computer Science or Computing in DIT

    Computing & Computer Science

good luck in the decision making and i mite c u next year, i defered comp science, giving it another go next year!

Well tbh, that isnt really the way to go about it, I understand where your coming from and all but if you like the course content /career opurtunities that u see in Qualifax then go for that course.
No need to go and sit a boring lecture, the only way to get a feel for the course is by actually accepting it and attending. What if you choose a terrible lecture and it turns you off the rest of the course, possibly stuff that you have a genuine interest in?!
I highly doubt theyl allow you to do that, its more than likely against policy!

You probably wont get a reply for another month either before she turns you down. Aside from the fact that they are now off for Christmas, Lecturers are extremely busy at this time of year. They have exams to be taking care of, and just before Christmas they were probably looking after the 4th year final project intern reports.

That maybe true, but you have to try to log in before you realise its out of service (which happens at least once a week )
