    Right,
I've got some gear that needs fixing- an early marshall jcm 800, a hafler tube guitar pre amp and a power amp. I've had them all in broken state for a while cause i'm unsure about the tech I'm using at the moment. He's expensive, sometimes it takes months to get stuff fixed and the last thing I had him fix was the marshall and that broke again pretty much straight away with what looks like the same kinda thing.

Who do you guys get to fix your stuff, know anyone good in the munster/limerick area specifically?

I think anyone who's any good is going to cost.

I've always heard Guitar amps repairs was a speciality of Joe O'Neill's in Glenamaddy and Acoutograph in Lanesboro.

However I've not had any experience myself with either.

Martin Nolan in Dub is Marshall's recognised repair guy...dunno if you've had dealings with him in the past.

fix any of my synthy stuff myself

im in no way qualified, nor do i have more than a basic idea what im at, but ive never failed to fix anything in the end

theres a lot to be said for just digging in yourself if youve got even the vaguest idea

i sent my vintage marshalls to a guy in lanesboro co longford. he's supposed to have worked at marshall back in the 60's so i thought "who better?" he did a decent job, fitted a master volume to one of them. reasonable price too.
