A very useful way of using Stickies

Well this is a video that demonstrates a really creative use of the stickies application that's within OSX.

Im setting mine up now. I always found iCal a bit awkward for doing this type of stuff. Like when work is due etc.

PS, the thing im talking about is about half way through the video, so just skip it on to 3.23

If you have any other productive ways of using stickies i'd be interested in hearing what you do.

It's a good idea. I already use Dashboard's Stickies widget in a similar manner, although that's only really suitable for short notes.

But I already use Spaces to separate different apps and create different work spaces. It and Expose are great features but I suspect a lot of people don't use them.

I use the dockbased stickies rather than the
    dashboard ones

When I want to run a video in the corner of the screen while doing some other work, I launch it in Stickies so that it remains on top, just select the video in finder and press shift-command-y to open quicktime in stickies. Give it a gray background so it's not too distracting.

That's really cool. I didn't even know you could play video within a sticky.

I can get it to open as an icon but not as an actual video.. If that makes sense? The Logo that appears in Finder is the same that appears in Stickies as opposed to the video playing in Stickies.
