over the counter meds

    hi all
    have read in other threads about the availability of all meds in bangkok (over the counter)

    My and my GF are going in about a month and are wondering about malaria tablets (1) has anyone got them there and (2) what are they called

    Sorry if there stupid questions :)

    P.s. Ive learnt more off this forum and the ppl in it during the last 2weeks then in 6 moths of lonely planets or thorn trees etc thanks

    You're meant to start taking malaria tablets one or two weeks in advance of going as well as when you're there and after leaving the country, and also need shots. Speak to your GP about it.

    got the shots and was advised by g.p. that we didnt need malaria tabs in thailand just for laos and india and rural china we had a prescription for tabs but had a bit of a party at our house and the prescription is missing and were not over enthusiastic about paying another 50quid for another prescription

    so was wondering about availibity over the counter??? in thailand as this is our first stop :)
