    Hello all :)

I have a satellite dish with a dual LNB, I want to add a cable to a 2nd Sky box, what do you need to do when you open the LNB, do you need any kind of connectors, or just add a cable into the LNB via a screw etc…

    Thanks

    I would suggest using CT100/wf100 from L.N.B, using a F connectors from (maplin,Satellite.ie, Freesat.ie) to sky box(under 30m's)with a standard sky dish.
    Should be no problem.

    Regards,

I dont know what you mean by "open the lnb". You never have to open the lnb. an f connector simply screws on to an outlet of your lnb. The second cable attaches to the lnb exactly the same way as the existing cable does, have a look at that if you are unsure. I use rg6 satellte cable and have no problems. you need to know how to fit an f connector to both ends of the cable properly but it is not rocket science, it simply threads on to the cable, if you unscrew the existing connector from your existing cable then you will see how it is done, just make sure that no strands of the outer shielding braided cable does not come into contact with the single inner solid copper core or this will cause a short. connect one end of the cable to your lnb and the other end to the lnb input on your reciever. that is all you have to do.

many have a clip on/off cover that hides the connector at the LNB.

Make sure you use the fatter sat cable and matching larger internal hole screw on F-Connectors, rather than the smaller hole model for cable Tv coax.
