Back in the '60's, when I lived in England, I owned a Citroen Bijou. I wonder if there is anyone out there who owned one (or, for that matter, ever heard of it.)?

I remember reading about them in a car book that I have some time back, based on the 2CV, weren't they?

Never had one, heard of them.

Knocked together by the UK Slough factory or something like it.

Yes - They had the 2CV engine, transmission, chassis and suspension with a UK-made fibreglass body. Fun to drive, scary on corners and with no room in the back for the inlaws. Could hit 60+mph downhill.

Very rare anywhere I'd guess. Did they only make a few? (200-300)

Only 207 were produced, plus 2 prototypes.

They were only built in the UK factory in Slough and was the only french designed 2 cv to be built outside France. They were made of fibreglass and were a complete sales disaster. When it was dropped in 1964, the 2cv didnt return to the Uk market until 1974, except for a brief period in 1966 when Swedish market RHD 2cvs were sold as that country was changing to LHD the following year.
