Valid GPS signals ?

Just baught samsung omnia from vodafone. Ok i installed Tom Tom 7.450 somehow but when ever i start it. It keeps looking for valid GPS signals and doesn't work properly. Some one please help me regarding that.

yup, travelled about 250km in my car with waiting for signals.

In a car the best place for picking up satellites is right at the bottom centre of the windscreen, close to the glass. Outdoors try to find a place with a good view of the southern sky and above.
