    hi all
well have had the camera out for the second day today and i'm loving getting out in the fresh(cold) air and seeing all the things that i have often passed without noticing.
I'd appreciate a bit of guidance re the photos below like what i can do to impprove technique etc. Please note that i haven't yet contemplated using anything like photoshop to enhaance the images but maybe in time.

    Cheers

    Hi Imola,

I had a look at your pics. And I see youre having a little trouble with exposure??
I've mentioned in a comment on your pix that you could try bracketing esp on landscape shots so you don't loose a good pic.
You can usually set your camera to take pics from -2 to +2 exposure and pick the best out of it later on. (it should be in your camera manual to set this)
Also you can check the histogram on the camera i think to the left is underexposed and the right is overexposed so obv the middle is just right .. well in most cases. Sometimes depending you may want over or under.
I'm still in the midst of figuring it all out. It just takes time and getting out and doing it :)

I really love your first pic though of the trees.

Also just something I've noticed is to put the pics into the thread for c&c. This way you usually get more critiques :)

After you click on your pic on pixie, there should be two boxes underneath it. One for html and the other for forums. Copy and paste the forum one (the second box) onto the post:)

Yip one thing out of hundreds with photography!! :D

Theres a new book out at the moment actually which i'm finding really helpful is the collins complete photography course.
It sets little tasks for you to do after it covers each chapter so you gain an understanding of the technique.
