    So i just bought my first whetstone and im just wondering do i put oil on it like an oilstone?

    If it is a proper whet stone, then no, do not put oil on it. They are to be used with water.

    its made by faithful and it says whetstone on the box so i suppose its real. ill try it with water anyways. thanks.
