    We will see everyone ritually putting up their prices as usual. All headed by the government of course who are increasing tolls, tax and probably public transport fares as well.

    The pubs froze prices but they are already such a rip off and have been for such a long time that it won't make much of a difference. People still think they'll make more money if they keep shoving up the prices.

    anyone notice prices going down in anything besides petrol? the price of oil was used as an excuse for several price hikes of almost everything a couple of months back. how long until things actually start getting cheaper?

    Dunno what will happen with the pubs, the price freeze is BS as you said, way too high already. When I started drinking it was twice the price to drink in a pub, now it is up to 10 times (€6.20 bottle of bud in dicey reilys, Vs 62cent bottles in tesco offers).

    I can see pubs having to close down, I wondered how many survive at all. You have people paying huge money for the premises and now the property is losing value. Some pubs are still full but are people drinking as much? I wonder, since all my mates get tanked up before heading out.
