    A worthy mention of the fact that oil prices continue to come down yet Aer Lingus are slow to lower or remove the fuel surcharges.


    Secondly, in superquinn today. 500ml bottle of diet coke normally €1.09, now its €1.19!!! When did they slip that one in?

    It is a rip off when Superquinn price match the rest of them on the 6 pack coke/diet coke and then they go and add 10c to the single 500ml bottle. We all dont want 6 cans at a time! Give it in one hand and take away in the other!

    Yes. That's the way business works. They have great prices on some items and publicise the hell out of them so that you go in and buy all the other stuff as well.

    Pricematching isn't about what's matched but about what's not matched.

    Thats one of the reason why ryanair are trying to push for the takeover, they claim aer lingus is being poorly managed as they have hedged oil at €100 per barrel for the next few months. Wouldn't expect this surcharge to disappear until these current contracts run out.

    an in the meantime they're gonna keep getting undercut by continental/delta on all the US routes
    imo the government & staff should sell up while there's still something there to sell
