How safe is it using Ebay?

    Im thinking of signing up to Ebay using the dads credit card i was just wondering how safe is it to do it nowadays with people been able to monitor computers and get the credit card number anything i can to make 100% sure nothing will happen?

    There is nothing on the internet or anywere that is 100% safe but millions of people around the world use Ebay without any problems .When you sign up to Ebay and Pay pal ( for buying and paying with your credit card ) you will have to register personell information and supply an email address .This information is secure . You, and only you , will have the passwords which enables you to log into your eBay/pay pal account .The golden rule once registered is never give or show to anybody you personell information/details and never use a public PC to do buisness on .

    You can use (as an option to credit cards ) your bank account as the main payment for buying and paying for goods on Ebay .This you set up on pay pal .

    Ebay ,Pay pal and your own bank will never send you an email asking you for any personell information such as ie, '' we need to update our website with new software and need to have some details from you blah blah '' .....If you ever do recieve any such emails you ignore or / and report them to ebay , pay pal and your bank .

    I have being sucessfully buying and selling on ebay for approx 4 years with no problems .
