lol yeah, that was funny. I don't think I heard the band singing, I was too busy oogling over one or two of em. Said in another thread thar that the O Leary interview was quite good, liked his dig at the end about doctors on Ireland AM complaining and whatnot.

Meh, o Leary interview was good but his dig at doctors was misplaced. Afterall you can bet your arse that when he or his family get suck they don't go to a public hospital

He's a smooth talker is O'Leary. Right about the consultants of course and AL future, ie it doesn't have one on its ownio

    Pat Shortt was brilliant!

    Funny song!

I've lost count. How many times has Pat Shortt appeared on The Late Late Show in the past few years. Too many imo.

Must have been treated to the same menu his customers get.

Pat Shortts song is a plain rip off of his last one, almost identical verse lines and chords. Just different lyrics.

I'm growing to dislike him as the years have gone on, I loved the d'unbelievables stuff but I think it was Jon Kenny who made the act and he's versatile enough too. Shortt just plays the same tricks to the same type of crowd. The boggers bogger in effect.

Yeah O' Leary looked a lot thinner than usual.

Thought Mick O'Leary did not look well at all.

Very thin and he got very flushed in the face. Heart attack waiting to happen or else he has high blood pressure.

Anyone know why Sir Alan Sugar wasn't interviewed live? Does that happen much? I've never seen it being done before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,828 ✭✭✭robo

I have seen this happen the odd time. Perhaps SAS had another appointment on Friday night!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

Did Pat say it was pre-recorded it before it was shown?

Because I was at a Colin Farrell pre-recording 2 years or so back and it was slotted in as if it was live. Even Kerry Katona who was on after it played along with it, joking when she came out that she had met Colin backstage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,828 ✭✭✭robo

He usually does say when interviews are pre-recorded but this time he didn't say it till the end of the interview, which was a bit odd!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 625 ✭✭✭QuadLeo

He said it because there was a mess up in the edit, I noticed. You know the way he turns around to look at the guest walking on, well he did that live and then the pre-record was played and you see him do the turn around again. It looked terrible. He'd no choice but to say it. HA!

Thought he was hilarious particularly the start talking to the crowd as if they were locals from the parrish, just hope the clip gets archived on the rte site.

Flicking channels, caught O'Leary on the repeat and then some unnamed girl "band"

Its a joke how louie walsh is allowed to put a band like that on the public broadcaster well "just because"

all the actual talented people in this country who could be given a slot like that and it goes to some girls aloud clones with a nothing song, ooh and ive heard that backing track twice before as in one half of it was one song and the other half was another

A)No wonder most of the talented people leave
    which is why
B)There is a lack of talent on Irish tv:eek:

I wonder is free advertising for Louie Walsh within the remit?

Even as one of the talentless ones this is a good a reason as any to move
    somewhere else after xmas :D

It's funny but he's been doing the same thing for the last 10 years, they usually do it at their shows too.
