Audio-Sync probs on RTE DTT

For the past few days I've noticed progressively worse audio sync probs on DTT from 3 Rock. Is this just me- or whats happening? Sync problems can be between .2 and .6 of a second off. It appears to be related to signal strength- which has been quite low this week- occasionally I can't get a lock on the signal at all.

I'm also alternatively having pixilation problems, along with occasional cross-channel interferance (crystal clear reception of for example RTE1 with RTE superimposed in the background like a very unclear ghosting.......)

    Anyone else having similar probs?

ghosting on DTT??? Now that is first time i hear that one, i didnt think that was possible on DTT.
I dont have any problems , signal quality is sitting at 96% all the time and that is with antenna in the attic..

Maybe it would be good idea to re-scan it again?

I thought it was strange too. It was on a crystal clear RTE1 with a vague outline of RTE2 in the background, rendered from 18% signal strength. When signal deteriorated further the picture pixilated, before being lost totally, the sound continued all the way down to about 11-12% signal strength before being lost too.....

I really need to put an antenna in the attic I guess. I'm in Lucan village in a hollow, which is a bit of a bitch. Occasionally signal strength can be well over 80% though- which is strange......

uh, its impressive that you can pick anything on 18% signal strength. What is the signal quality? This is more important.
I'm in Artane, had one of them rabbit ears... rubbish..
Got myself High Gain Wideband Analogue/Digital TV Aerial with Fixing Kit , 52 elements including 8 reflector elements. Went up in the attic with portable tv (analogue).
Got good RTE1, Ok RTE2, Rubbish TV3 and no joy with TG4 (all analogue). Dropped the cable down to sitting room and picture perfect on all four on DTT, Signal strength 100% , signal quality 96% . Had this setup for about year now, never had any problems..

Analogue is snow on RTE2 and TV3 with no reception whatsoever on RTE1 or TG4. Digital- crystal clear at the 16-18% signal strength level before it deteriorates (which appears to be weather dependent).

Where did you get this from? I'm guessing you can't just grab it off the shelf in Woodies (I did try a 22 element aerial from them- which was even worse than a powered UHF indoor directional antenna (it looks like a V with 5 inverted fingers of about 1 inch thickness).

I really need to get something else sorted. The hollow I'm in doesn't help matters though (and we are not allowed to have anything whatsoever outdoors).

I'm not too far away from fat fingers.... and I have buildings, everything to possibly block reception and have sorted it effectively with the set up in the link below. (and I have tried them ALL, believe me).

Its constant at 91% on the Technomate. And a little less on the Humax.
