Anyone have any link for free software for creating woring schematics. I used google sketchup to creat the machine, dimensiosn etc to a point where I can hand it over to a CAD designer or fabricator to create the machine drawings.

Now I need to draw the electric, safety circuits, power distribution etc etc and need some software. I couls use google again in a single plain but was wondering if there is anything better, particlarly for labeling and wire ID's.

    Thanks

I have never used it but you could use smart draw (http://www.smartdraw.com/specials/electrical.asp), i believe its free....

    Microsoft Visio is handy also...

I was looking at Smart Draw but the details on the download are nt very helpful although its not too expensive to buy at USD197 if it turned out to be decent.

Will see what else I can find out and check the other recommendations and let you know how I get on.
