Hi, This has been recommended to me on this board for my needs... just have some q's.

How do I back up if there is no CD drive?

I've read that there have been problems connecting to Wifi? Does this mean their card is not good quality?

I've also read that it isn't proper Microsoft software on it - any comments on this?

The Advent looks nice, is absolutely what I want in portability and a good price - but I don't want to have to be buying software and new wifi cards or anything like that - the added cost won't be worth it.

    tx

    USB Key

There have been problems with the Touchpad and the Wifi card. Both are under warranty and the Wifi card can be easily upgraded at minimal cost

Never heard that one. XP is genuine. You may be mistaking Office and Works. Works I believe is included but it ain't as good as Office.

yes, it would be. At €379 and under, there a bargain :)

I have an advent 4211 and at the moment travelling around Asia, have had no problems connecting to the wifi networks at many locations. I have heard that the range of the wireless is not as good but never experienced any difficulties to be honest.

XP is genuine they wouldnt get away with a non-genuine copy on it. A limited version of works is installed which is crap but i just downloaded open office and use that and its perfect.

I would recommend it anyways. Since I have been travelling around the mobility and quality of it are brilliant.

I've heard some people have problems with the wifi disconnecting. Updating the driver for the wireless to the newest one seems to solve it though.

How would I update the driver?

Go onto the msi site, and find drivers for the msi wind. Download and install.
