FULL HD??

    I've just bought an LG37LG6000 FLL HD LCD TV, however, whilst I know that to het the Sky range of HD channels I'll need to order an HD box(which I've done) can I receive any HD channels now, given that the tv is a FULL HD not just an HD READY set?

    If I can't what is the benefit, if any, of buying a FULL HD TV as opposded to an HD READY one?

    Any responses gratefully received!!!:rolleyes:

    Its a bit more complicated than that. Much sky HD is actual broadcast in 1080i, as well as in 720p. Whereas all HD Ready tvs support 1080i, you need a full hd tv to get all the detail of 1080i. If you have native 1080i shown on a full HD tv, there is a negligible difference between it and 1080p native on the same tv. So basically, you still need a full hd tv, like yours to get the very best of sky hd.

    Dont forget to configure your box to output 1080i btw!:)

    no you cannot recieve HD channels now only when you have your HD box

    You need a HD source - skyHD box or ps3 or equivilant - to display HD picture on your new TV
