What is going on there? was it a manual and they didn't bother removing the clutch? I would have guessed the pedal is a handbrake, but you can see that in the pic. some sort of hybrid?

That vehicle is probaly adapted for a disabled driver. The clutch pedal could be an accelerator. My cousin has a car done like that. It allows for him and anyone else to drive it because the standard accelerator is still there.

Isn't the AT selector from a left-hand drive car too? It's hardly a LHD auto with a set of fake RHD controls added on, is it? Apparently they used cars like that in the making of Ronin (or was it Heat?), with the stunt driver doing the actual driving while the actor flailed around in presumably impotent terror.

Ok, Ok, I'll put you out of your misery.

Some great ideas there. I especially like Anan1's inspired guess about the dual control stunt movie car. LOL.

Actually it's much more simple than that, this New Zealand car is halfway through an auto to manual conversion as the owner plans to use it for track days.
The vast majority of these cars were autos and the rare manual commands a price premium at sale time.
Mine is an auto but I think the auto box (switchable) suits the GT/cruiser nature of the car.
Heres a link to the owners original post.
