just bought a set of these in cycleways (Michelin Pro3 Race 700x23c) paid more than i would have liked, but since there's a christmas road race this coming sunday, i needed new tyres fast. not sure whether i bought the right tyre for a winter race. should i have considered a treaded tyre, like a continental, because these tyres are slick. what do you guys think?

Is this for the Swords race? I was just gonna use the gatorskins that I threw on the hack bike months ago.

Treads on road tyres are just there for show, to reassure punters who worry about this stuff. You'll be fine.

Ba vs. Raam in a turkey race. This should be good.

I'll be happy not to be dropped for it shall be my first race.

raam, get a really good warm up. 15minute reasonable effort, with short bursts at near max to open your lungs. this is what i was told same time last year, cos the christmas race was my first race too.

    Thanks ba.
Is the race start easy to find? I've never been out to Warrenstown before.

think the race start is at Warrenstown Inn, a pub along the trim road. but definitely that is the pub name. btw the race circuit gets called a bunch of names, cos it passes through various places...dunsany, batterstown, warrenstown etc.

Well, you talk about racing and you talk about tyres. All I know is that I may or may not be the strongest guy out there on the day. I just hope that the organisers can guarantee my safety because me and Warrenstown, let's just say that there's no love lost there.
