Maybe, but I think the show is well put together and worth watching, not something you can say about all RTE's content.

I think we have one of those filter things under our sink. Shucks, I'm not getting any minerals from my water.

Some guy from pure H2O was on pat kenny this morning and he sounded like a complete idiot.

"the hunger strikers drank water with minerals in it and they still died ."

what a complete and utter fool. knows jack about nutrition.

It's about time something like this was put together for Irish television and it's well made.
Strangely there's still a queue of people waiting to slate it for some reason, there were a few over on the Consumer Issues forum whinging about it.

watched the programme alrite last night.

now before i begin, I want to state that I work for a similar company based in Cork, and yes I have advertised looking to recruit similar reps.

First of all, the way H2O pitch their product is completely unethical. When I do a presentation, I just use a tds Meter (Total Disolved Solids).
The way the programme was presented, it completely misrepresented the sector. I got a call, immediately after the show, from a recent customer accusing me of ripping them off!!
The show failed to highlight the state of our water suppliess today.
Please take time to have a look through the following sites.

    http://www.fairhome.co.uk/2008/10/03/lead-contamination-in-irelands-water-supplies/

    http://www.freedrinkingwater.com/water-education/quality-water-mineral.htm

    http://my.packexpo.com/NST-4-50142280/Water-Bottle-Testing-in-Ireland-Finds-Contamination.aspx

Look, I really feel passionate about this, not just because it's my livelihood, and I thought the show tarred us all with the same brush.

I look forward to reactions to my post.
    Thanks,
    Dan

I watched the program last night. I didn't take much notice of him to be honest, but though the program was very good. I especially like where the set up the sales guys and just watch them winging it....very good

Is this show repeated or available on the web anywhere?

    Dan,
I hear what you are saying in relation to water quality, but the sales practices of these guys are very very "immoral" to say the very least(having experienced them first hand myself) and the 2k+ fee for the system is a joke.
You may be far more moral and sell it a lot cheaper and it is a pity to get tarred with the same brush but stuff like this needs to be highlighted to consumers.

I have seen a few episode it is doing really well the first one got 700,000 which only proves Irish people like to moan.

Anyway I thought the Drugs episode was OTT and just showed kids where, how and what kind of buzz they can get from those Head shops (???).

Philip Boucher Hayes is a bit annoying. But I am surprise this hasn't been brought up before on boards since a few years ago people where wondering when RTE would do a watchdog type show.

I think you're missing the point Dan. The sales practices of this company is what was being highlighted not the actual need for such a system.
Do you not think 2k+ for a VERY basic system of this type is a little excessive, as well as some fo the underhand sales techniques?

I'd presume some legal action by someone mentioned called for it to be not shown, it's even still listed on Aertel as going to be on
