40 gb is loads, go for it. if you were planning on using the ps3 for things like storing movies, demos, music etc, then maybe the 80gb would be more suitable but your not so :)

you can always get an external hard drive to store movies etc or even put a bigger one in the ps3.

Get an xbox 360,Its cheaper (240€ with a 60gb Hdd and possibly a free game if you shop around) and does exactly what you want,i have both formats and if id to sell one it would be the ps3

Yeah, €240 + 80 + 60 (to play online) = €380...not so much cheaper after all, no BluRay either!

Thank you, so very much. Dont buy a suxbox, I mean Xbox. They break after a few months. Playstations on the other hand are super reliable. Yes they are dearer but you get more for your money

Have a look over in the xbox forum and see the reliability of the xbox yourself. They do fix it but you are waiting weeks, the failure rate on the Sony PlayStation is very very low. Go for the 40 gig and also check out little big planet.

    That's true!

Even though my PS3 can play PS2 & PS1 games, I never have! I just don't see the point with all the games that are out there to be honest!

There would be one or two I would like to have the option to play. Saying that I have a rake of ps3 games I haven't even started yet.

I don't think I'd go back to many old games, but I've never played Shadow Of The Colossus!
