The bigger in the 30 series seem to be good solid tractors, and very comfortable machines to operate over the 20 series in my opinion. Never worked a 7530 before to be honest but I haven't heard of any bad reports. Small niggly faults like valves for the heaters and the a/c but nothing major unlike the first of the 20 series.
Use a 6930, which is two models smaller than yours, and its a gorgeous tractor. Only faults were the heater valve as mentioned above and a diesel filter problem, which seems quite common when brand new, but once changed never gives bother.

    You going for a 50K version ?

ya 50k in this day and age, apparently they do abt 54-55k flat out. i think they have the back end very similar to 7810 and a slightly elongated chassis of 6930 which sounds good on paper. bit concerned they might be thirsty??
Was also looking at GPS options, any thoughts on a basic level gps system?

Well the JD 7810 is one of the all time tractor ledgends, so if its similar thats a plus. Any 50ks I've driven don't do much more than the 50k, although you can swap the speed sensers on the back axle to give a false reading at the clock. This will let the engine rev out full and give you nearly 60k . Not so sure if it works on the 30 series though and it is supposed to wear out the clutch packs quicker on the power shift models, although yours is probley vario.

John deeres were never famed for being mizers on fuel, there middle of the road as regards fuel comsumption, but if your burning diesel your making money, or at least thats the theory  Don't use GPS, so couldn't tell you much about that.
