Getting these little buggers to sit still long enough is a tough job! Simple enough set up, dark background, me on the floor, natural light and snacks for bribery! :D

    Any thoughts?

Both very nice, he looks so sad in the second one!

Well done, i always find i have a problem getting even focus across the whole face. You seem to have sorted that though!

Coooool heterochromia (ahem... different colour eyes). You sould try and emphasize the eyes a bit more, make them brighter somehow.

Thanks. To be honest I could take 50 odd photo's and find that half of them the cat has moved too quickly to capture. Out of the rest the focus is on the nose, the ear, or some random spot on the fur. Its getting them to stay still, even for a second that makes it so tricky. I'm using F1.8 so even the smallest dart forward or back throws the whole thing off...

I'd love to get a real good shine on the eyes. But my set up makes that fairly hard.

I try to use natural light as the flash upsets them. So I get as close to a window as possible, meaning the light is coming from one side only. I've tried to use reflectors but you'd need a partner just to get the angle right. If I had a large stand up mirror it might be possible...

    First shot is really nice
Best of trying to engage them in play as I found that you can do whatever you want then..

Fair play! You got the eyes crystal clear.
    Did you use a flash?
