    Hi

I have an O2 E220 modem and I have managed to do the strangest thing.

I went to O2s website to download the latest firmware and I installed it but the thing is it downloaded the Vodafone firmware and I wasn't aware.

My O2 modem now loads up the Vodafone software when I plug it into the computer and asks me to install it.

Does anyone know how I can reset the modem or where I can download the O2 software to change it back.

I really need this fixed thanks

This is where I got the Vodafone update yesterday and when I tried a second time it downloaded the O2 update but when I installed nothing seemed to change.

Ok, afraid I'm out then. I updated my E270 not so long ago from there and all seemed to be working fine.

It gave me O2 software and it fixed the bug I was seeing where the E270 was turning off every few minutes in windows.

    Sorry, couldn't help anymore.

Anyone know where I can get the O2 software for the E220 modem. They seem to have removed it from their firmware page. Currently on the e270 software is available.

I flashed mine with the Huawei software and the data rates a re pretty poor, so I want to revert to the original driver.

    Thanks,

I can send you on a copy of the o2 software on my own modem . I did something like you did before but I managed to replace the software. If you want it just PM me.

It's a Huawei modem and O2 only supply Huawei driver. Sometimes Mobile is slow. If the driver is wrong generally it will crash intermittantly or not work at all rather than slow it.

    Unless you are useing Linux.

    Thanks Guys,

I actually gave up on the O2 modem and returned it to O2. The coverage was very patchy at best, so I could not justify the €20 a month.

    Thanks again,
