I remember my grandfather used to smoke the pipe when I was younger, and a lot of our neighbours smoked the pipe as well. Does anyone on here smoke the pipe or know anyone that smokes the pipe? I don't like smoking but I always remember that the pipe smelt lovely!

There's a pub in the city centre where a lot of guys go who like a bit of pipe. [/compulsory cock joke]

I used to love sitting by the fire with my granddad watching him load his pipe. Then he'd use about 15 matches lighting the thing... then he'd spit into the hearth like a good 'un... There are still pipe shops here in London, not many though.

Powells "Four Corners" shop in Galway sells pipes. Don't know bout anywhere else. I'm always tempted to buy one and fix it so that it blows bubbles. Waynes World style.

Well, it's not like you can pop out for a quick pipe outside the pub. It does smell nice though.

I bought one a couple of months ago and would smoke it every now and again. Mostly when relaxing at home on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

I'd find it a bit award to smoke if I was out anywhere.

There's an estate near where I live and pipes are really popular with a load of the young folk around there.

    Crack pipes count, right?

I use a pipe to smoke weed, but weed pipes are smaller than the big massive tobacco pipes :D . The only bad thing about weed is cottonmouth and if you smoke too much you get a whitener, not good.

Used to smoke a pipe when I was younger, only because they were easy to get from the back of the Cap & Petersons pipe making factory in Sallynoggin (Think it's now just called Petersons).

No the pipe is not gone. It smells good and you look sophisticated when you smoke one. Think about Sherlock Holmes or Commissaire Maigret.

My Dad smokes the pipe every once in a while, he went from ciggarettes to cigars and then the pipe. :)

Saw a guy in his 20s filling his pipe on the bus one day, then he lit up when he got off. Only time I've seen a young person smoking one.

Funny, I was waiting for a bus for college one day and a young girl drove past in a car with one stickin out of her gob puffing away..good looking blonde girl about mid-twenties. Thought it was really strange looking..

Ahhh youth. In time ,Padawan, these problems shall fade and your tolerance for the pipe weed shall increase.
