Translation tools?

In lieu of taking lessons etc to improve my abysmal French, can anyone recommend software or websites to quickly translate words and phrases from English to French and vice-versa? I've been using Babelfish and its not so reliable. Or is that the standard I should expect from all tools?

    Berci beaucoup :)

    Google Translator/Goole Traduction

    C'est tres bien!

    Aller a http://translate.google.com ou http://translate.google.fr

Use an online dictionary such as wordreference.com if it's only a word you want to translate, will give you more choices than a translator

I wouldnt rely much on these tools.

    They are quite inaccurate.

woah... i'm sorry but i have to disagree with anyone who recommended any site apart from wordreference.com.

the forum is incredible, and the dictionary is really in-depth too.

    babelfish/googletranslate + french = DISASTER.

wordreference is all you'll ever need.
