Hi, I have a Gaggia classic and am looking for a good source for pods. Tried http://www.gaggia.uk.com/gaggiacoffee.htm but their singles and doubles are working out at 37/50 cent each.
Anyone know of any alternative pods or suppliers that I could use?
    Thanks, d2ww.

Not sure if you can get them any cheaper the 38c a pod d2ww.
I get mine in Brown Thomas or Bewleys in Grafton Street whenever I'm up.
Let me know if you do get better value somewhere please will you?

Actually, does your machine have 3 buttons?
This is my one http://www.bewleyscapsule.com/about-bewleys-capsule/bewleys-at-home-details/where-to-buy.html but i have no idea what button is for what really. Should I be using a different capsule for a different button. The instructions aren't great.

MS, you have a newer machine than mine, so sorry can't really help you there. I got a short DVD with mine explaining the basics.
Those Illy pods sound like a good option, I'll check them out the next time I'm in Tesco.
    Thanks, d2ww

Just to update this thread, I tried the Illy pods in the Gaggia Classic, and they don't really work. The Illy pods are that bit thicker and provide too much resistance for the pump. It takes well over a minute to get the same volume as your standard 19-21 second gaggia pod, and this can't be good for the machine.

There's an OPV in the machine that will just be redirecting the water to the resevoir so it shouldn't have a negative impact on the machine, I also wouldn't continue with it though. What it is doing to the coffee is another matter altogether.
