    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knew any way of recovering photos from a VCD to just a jpeg or similar.
I know they bound to be of lower quality just have some I would like to make a screensaver out of..

    Thanks
    Shane

recently in work i found myself stuck for images of a project - the guy that had the images was away on leave as was his image collection (on his laptop). Images were needed that afternoon for a 3pm presentation (it was now 12:30pm hmmnnnn). All they had was a DVD of the project.

I simply pulled a screen grab in the gimp and cropped the borders and windows media player out of it and sure it did fine to stick in a powerpoint and project up onto a 20 foot display.

Would be sh**e if i went to print with it though, but for a screensaver it could be ok.

Worth a try. Make sure you've no copyright implications - the VCD as in my case the DVD will be someone's work and someone's intellectual property. In my case the organisation owned the DVD production, rights, etc..., so i'm happy i wasn't breaking copyright.
