Early Childcare Supplement

    Hi,

I know that from Feb 2009 the Early Childcare Supplement will be paid monthly instead of quarterly, but my baby is due the 12th of December and I was just wondering how the payment would work until Feb?

If I have my baby on the 12th of December the payment for the quarter Oct-Dec goes through on Dec 8th, does this mean I would have to wait until Feb for payment and it would be paid in arrears or when would I get the payment??

AFAIK they are going to pay it with the childrens allowance, monthly. So when you register your baby they will process it and payment (including arrears) will arrive in due course. I expect that the ECS would be included in that also.

Our last child was born in early October and we got our CB payment in December. You don't get CB for the month your child is born in, just FYI.
