you can start by getting a new hop rubber (here or here). You can also look at getting a new inner barrel (length will depend on the M4 you've got different barrels here or the Irish shops could get them for you).

You know what its chronoing at? If its above 300 you could be fine with just the hop rubber and maybe the inner barrel.

Totally agree with Chuck - the Hopup rubber is probably the single biggest, cheapest and easiest upgrade you can do.
I wouldnt have believed the difference they make until I changed on in one of my dboys M4's.
The stock rubber is too hard if I remember correctly - designed to work on non-compliant high FPS guns.

I'd suggest talking to the guys in eirsoft - they can do the upgrades for you if you'd rather not attempt it yourself.

The gearbox is pretty good as is - I have used a set of Dboys gears to replace a Classic Army set that chewed itself to bits and it's been running brilliant now for several months.

Also - I'd stick in a set of metal bearing bushings (7mm I think) to replace the nylon ones but regarding the barrell - I'd leave it as I think it's already a reasonably tightbore already. (6.04 as stock but I might be mistaken).

    hope this helps
