Because they are absolutely pointless. If you are going to start one, list WHY you like the film to at least make it half worth opening. Start a blog if you want to list your favourite films.

Exactly.Its like starting a thread saying "i like steak"
Nobody cares.
If you said "i like steak" because its tasty,its filling and I like the idea of eating something that used to live and breathe then thats validating why you say you liked it in the first place.Plus its likely to spark a discussion.
