I've disabled all ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) on my laptop's firewall to increase its stealth status on the web. Does anyone see any problems that may occur by such action?

Depending on how complete the block is (ie. does it mean unsolicited or included stateful replies) you could lose Ping and Traceroute capability.
