    he people
architecture in DIT has been my first choice in my leaving for about 5 years now and have begun on my portfolio, I realise they prefer more of the design to feature in a port folio but does anyone have suggestions?
the number of works, the kind and photo's?

so far Im going to have in a sketch of a section of georges street arcade, a sketch of a doorway from harcourt street, 2 designs I have come up for for buildings, maybe an exploded elavation of a block of offices, I've had help from one of my older brothers friends but it turns out he went to UCD and never made a portfolio for his leaving cert, please help :)

There are afew threads about this already if you search the forum...
The advice given to me was that you should have about 10 good pieces, quality over quantity. I had nothing architectural really... mainly sketches and paintings but that was just what I had done at the time. I had one tech drawing sheet. The section and sketch sound like you're on the right track. There are afew people in my class that got good marks for the portfolio/interview that had archtectural
photographs only as their portfolio. All I'd say to you is not to be afraid to include non architectural pieces!! Also a good idea to start reading up on architecture for the interview itself if you havn't been doing already. Hope that helps
