looking for a multimedia hard-drive

hi guys im looking at getting a multimedia hard drive (i think thats what they are called). Basically i want to playback avi files that ive downloaded on to my pc through my tv. ive got a samsung with multiple hdmi ports if this makes any difference. im going up to nwry on monday morning if it'll be any cheaper up there?…

Plenty of info here if you do a search. From the cheap non-networked Western Digital one, hrough Popcorn Hour and other networked systems. If it's just AVI and no hidef or network required then the WD will fit the bill.
