Stats wiped!

So I fire up CoD4 multiplayer today and get this message: "Error reading your stats. Your stats have been reset".

WTF!?"

Please god christ tell me there's a way to retrieve them!

If it is for the Pc then if you check out this folder - C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players the should be a file called mpdata. If it isnt wiped or reset then you might be able to find what your looking for there. After you back up that folder just reinstall the game. Now this may not work just to let you know!!!

Cheers man, I was fit to puke my guts up this afternoon when I fired it up. Everything gone! Weapons, kills, deaths, perks, evrything!:mad:

Looks like my three week stay at lv 55 is over... :mad::mad::mad:

Just chekced that file, is has 'CORRUPT FILE' written under the filename, followed by the size.

Anyway to retrieve / fix this? I've been playing away this morning and managed to get six levels up but I'd love to go back to where I was :mad:

Never heard of it saying "stats wiped"
Usually it would come off as a byproduct of something else.

it's not a big deal really, I have wipped by player profile several times and didnt care at all about losing unlocks or stats, its more fun playing the game again from lvl 1 and getting random achievements has you go along.

try selecting properties of that file and doing a restore previous version..worked for me .

going through a mp5 reunion @ the moment, its so **** but sometimes I love it when it kills 4+ people in one clip.

Nah, f*ck it, it's more fun unlocking all the stuff again the normal way - killing reams of other players
