Nice but that seems to be standard around Cork.

There's a lovely little shop on castle street that does all kinds of stuff.
You can get external harddrives, flash drives, blank discs for online prices.

Have a look if you're in cork, great bargains in there. Plus there's an Argentinian guy across the street who sells memory from his internet cafe who seems to be in a price war with them.

    Bumpage.

Harvey Norman are now doing 50 spindles for €14.99.

They're seemingly made in Austrailia though, so how's the quality?
I seem to recall most people suggesting we go for those made in Taiwan.

I used to be Verbatim fan and always had an odd coaster, but recently switched to these Maxell ones and so far they are flawless!!! ;)

Spot on, country of origin is the key, a brand just buys in lots from the manufacturers and brands them as Verbatim.

Japan is usually Matshu****a or Taiyo Yuden (the best, nice dark dye)
India is usually Moser Bayer (paper thin, bend and snap)
    China is ... (awful)
Poland is ... (not bought them, to be honest)
Australia... (not bought them, to be honest)

You can also tell by the 'hive' the CDs\DVDs come in. An over-the-top top is usually Taiyo Yuden. An into the base from the inside top is usually CMC magnetics and cheaper brands.

ALL BRANDS ARE THE SAME. Maxell will buy lots like any other brand. Country of origin will help you determine how long your media will retain its data/audio reliably.
